Let me tell you, this is such a pleasure and an honour. These days I find it difficult to pick up a traditionally published book after exploring the treasures in the world of self-publishing. From now until New Year&#8217;s Eve, I&#8217;m going to showcase my favourites. If your book is not on here, it doesn&#8217;t mean I didn&#8217;t enjoy it. It&#8217;s been a very difficult decision choosing these books! They&#8217;re also not in any particular order.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Right, is that all my disclaimers out of the way with? They focus on Olivia as she starts to rebuild her life after a break-up. However, she unexpectedly meets and falls for Adam. The first book is set over a two-week training holiday for her new job with the Ranchers. As a British reader, I found this particularly interesting. I love anything that transports me somewhere new and the Bourbon Books did just that!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0My Reviews<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Dibs (Book One)<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">A fun, sweet romance with a real sexy edge to it. The story follows Olivia as she fumbles her way through re-building her life after a relationship break-up. Everything is thrown off kilter when she meets Adam. He&#8217;s charming, sexy, caring and loves bourbon, but is Olivia ready for a new relationship? The relationship between the two MCs builds brilliantly and keeps the reader hooked. I also really enjoyed the supporting characters!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Since September (Book Two)<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Having read the first book in The Bourbon Books (Dibs) I&#8217;ve been eager to clear my TBR list to read this. I was thrilled that it carried on with Olivia and Adam&#8217;s relationship. It was nice to see them continue to grow as a couple and to heal after their respective heartbreaks. The story focuses on them planning their wedding and the various opinions they come up against. Some people are happy for them, others think they&#8217;re moving too quickly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I loved the sense of humour and the little references to book 1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">A really great read that did not disappoint. Looking forward to book 3!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Move on, Melinda (Book Three)<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Let me begin by saying I read this book in one sitting because I just couldn&#8217;t put it down! Having read the other Bourbon Books, I&#8217;ve been intrigued by Melinda (especially given the revelations in Since September). I jumped at the chance of getting to know her better and I was not disappointed. Melinda is a complex character who finds herself torn between the woman she portrays and the woman she wants to be. As the group head to camp, we discover that something&#8217;s happened between Melinda and Mitch. However, Mitch isn&#8217;t the only man that has his eyes on Melinda!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I really enjoyed delving into other characters within The Bourbon Books. Looking forward to reading more in the future (can we find a happy ending for Jamie, please? haha).
