Let me tell you, this is such a pleasure and an honour. These days I find it difficult to pick up a traditionally published book after exploring the treasures in the world of self-publishing. From now until New Year’s Eve, I’m going to showcase my favourites. If your book is not on here, it doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it. It’s been a very difficult decision choosing these books! They’re also not in any particular order. Right, is that all my disclaimers out of the way with? I hope so! Prevailed Hope by Daniel Paice\u00a0 I love any book that champions mental health and Daniel’s poetry does just that. It’s a heartfelt reflection of what he’s been through. Poetry is incredibly raw and really emphasises the emotions. My Review A beautifully written anthology filled with raw emotion. As someone who suffers with their mental health I felt a connection to a number of the poems in this anthology. It’s clear how much pain the author has suffered and it’s beautiful to see it laid bare on the page. A read I would thoroughly recommend to anyone interested in mental health.
