I have read Rita’s book – A Need of a Change<\/p>\n

Need Of A Change” is a collection of 51 poetry and prose.<\/p>\n

Every page had me thinking as each poem or prose set out a pursuit of happiness. I happily devoured this book in one sitting, however it would have been nice to pick it up, read a passage and then take some time to consider the philosophy behind what I had just read. I will bookmark some pages to go back to.<\/p>\n

A particular line that I found interesting read ‘…perfect life in this imperfect world is to have humanity and love for all’ (Humanity and Love). A profound passage that is almost humbling as one considers their place in the world and the way they interact with others.<\/p>\n

A throughly enjoyable read that is sure to get you thinking and pontificating your place in the world and your own pursuit of happiness.<\/p>\n

Rita, would you like to tell us a little bit yourself and poetry book, Need of a Change?<\/h3>\n
I am Rita Rana and I hail from Punjab, India. I am 21 years old. Presently, I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Arts. I have self-published my first book “Need Of A Change” this year. My book is a collection of 51 motivational poetry and prose, written with a hope to spread positivity. My book is available on Amazon as ebook and paperback. Except writing, I love playing musical instruments, painting, reading and yoga.<\/div>\n

What inspired your book Need of a Change?<\/h3>\n
I overthink a lot and I started writing poetry as a means to escape. The invitation page of the book “Sparks of phoenix” by Najwa Zebian has inspired me to publish my book. Those lines were ” If this book has moved you, then move, lift up your pen and start writing your own story. Do not keep it inside of you, if it needs to leave you”. Then I decided to share my thoughts, poems and emotions with the world with a hope if my words can motivate even a one person.<\/div>\n

When did you first discover your love of poetry?<\/h3>\n
I love rhyming words since my childhood. I used to feel very lonely in school, I am an introvert, I don’t know how to express my feelings, to fill this loneliness and to express myself, I used poetry. I discovered my love for poetry when I read “Daffodils” by William Wordsworth in school. I felt each line of that poem.<\/div>\n

What\u2019s your favourite poem?<\/h3>\n
It is hard to choose one favorite poem. I would say “Daffodils” by William Wordsworth, “The road not taken” by Robert Frost, and Prologue from “Sparks of phoenix” by Najwa Zebian.<\/div>\n

What are you writing next?<\/h3>\n
I am working on three ideas. One is Fantasy novella. In this story, an evil witch is my protagonist. Second is a Crime thriller novel and third is a poetry collection.<\/div>\n

How do you cope with writer\u2019s block?<\/h3>\n
I take break from writing for at least 1 week. I watch movies from the genre I am writing. Reading and listening to good music also helps me to cope up with writer’s block.<\/div>\n

What inspires you the most?<\/h3>\n
I meet\/interact with kind, genuine and supportive people almost daily through social media, books or face to face in my life and these people, their virtues, inspire me and my writing.<\/div>\n

What aspect of writing do you find the most difficult?<\/h3>\n
I find research part most difficult. Sometimes even after doing research for long hours my doubts remain unclear and this annoys me, gives me stress also.<\/div>\n

Where\u2019s your favourite place to write?<\/h3>\n
My bedroom is my favorite place to write.<\/div>\n

How has social media influenced\/ affected your writing?<\/h3>\n
Social media proves to be a boon for my writing. From writing tips to the publishing process, I learned a lot from social media. I made so many like-minded friends, I came to know about online literary magazines, vss prompt, pitmad. The daily vss prompt is very helpful for creative flow and it enhances my vocabulary too. I have used few words from these prompts in my WIP.<\/div>\n
