Tells us about your writing\/ published book(s)<\/b><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">My debut novel, The White Owl, follows the story of a young man thrust into conflict and leadership, and we get a front row seat into how he deals with that. He&#8217;s put into situations which, while he was somewhat groomed for, he wasn&#8217;t expecting so soon, and he also has to try to manage everyone&#8217;s expectations, not least of all his new wife&#8217;s.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">On the other hand, we have a brilliant young swordsman who is loved and adored by the populace, and is given the opportunity to prove himself, to make a name for himself, but doing so could have drastic consequences.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">I don&#8217;t want to give anything away, but I often tell people it&#8217;s a story of love, friendship, the burden of leadership, and the lengths someone might go to for something they desire.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>2. How do you choose your book\u2019s title(s)? <\/b><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">I always wait until the book is finished, all the editing and proofreading done, and then see what stands out. I generally have an idea of what it might be, but the story so often changes and that can change the title also, so I wait until it&#8217;s all done and dusted and see what sticks out to me as being the best fit.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>3. How do you fit writing into your everyday life?<\/b><b><\/b><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #14171a; font-family: system-ui, -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Segoe UI, Roboto, Ubuntu, Helvetica Neue, sans-serif;\">With great difficulty, haha! It&#8217;s definitely a challenge, but I try to set aside time each week around work and other commitments. With how my work is, it&#8217;s not realistic for me to have a structured schedule, so I really just see how I feel and try and get some words on the page as often as I can.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>4. How do you handle criticism<\/b><b><\/b><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">I&#8217;ve been pretty lucky in that I haven&#8217;t had any significant criticism so far, and I&#8217;m so grateful for that. That said, I highly believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and, at the end of the day they are entitled to say they didn&#8217;t like my book and why. I hope it doesn&#8217;t come up too often though.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>5. Tell me about your current work<\/b><b><\/b><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">My current work is Untitled Book 2, following on from The White Owl. It picks up quite soon after the end of The White Owl and we see where the characters are now and what is happening. There were a few loose ends, or paths that could be taken, so those are explored. There are also new faces that come into it also, which I&#8217;m very excited about.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>6. Would you want your book made into a film?<\/b><b><\/b><\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Look, I&#8217;d be thrilled if it ever got that much of a fanbase and that much momentum that people wanted to see it on any screen, big or small.
