1. Tell us about your writing/published

I have been fortunate enough to have had two novels published so far the first one is entitled `The Flatterys of Nodnol Hall` which is a comedy crime thriller and the second, a modern day romantic comedy called `The Ghanaian Woman`.

2. Have you always wanted to write?

I think deep down I have even from a very early age about seven or eight as I can vividly remembering one day at home when I was misbehaving I think due to boredom more than anything else which I believe my late mother saw as well, so instead of punishing me she made me sit down in the passage way and told me to write a story. Well, I wasn`t going to argue with mum was I? Which I did without it being too much of an effort if I remember rightly. But all I remember of that story was that I called it The Skeleton Key.

3. What do you do when you have Writer`s Block?

I always try my utmost not to let Writer`s Block beat me, usually I just need to switch off from writing even if it`s only for an hour or two take a walk, go to the shops, or just play some of my favourite music
.

4. Do you write under a pen name? If so, tell us how about you chose it?

I normally put into my books somewhere, usually in my bio, Paul `Pops` Westlake rather than just Paul Westlake as Pops came from my time when I served in the Royal Navy, and quite a few of my old shipmates still call me it
.

5. How do you handle criticism?

I look at it this way, you are not going to please everyone with what you have written, so just take it on the chin and move.

6. Would you want your book made into a film?

Being perfectly honest, yes, as I think that my first novel `The Flatterys of Nodnol Hall` could make a good one.
