Tells us about your writing/ published book(s)
The Awakening of The Light is about a girl called Victoria discovering she has powers and that she is the vessel for The Light she discovers that she has a destiny to defeat The Darkness.
Where’s your favourite place to write?
Somewhere comfortable, I don’t mind
How do you approach starting a new book?
Plan it out first
What’s your favourite genre to read?
Fantasy
Have you always wanted to write?
Not always, but I did enjoy creating a story in school once
What do you do when you have writer’s block?
When I have writers block I leave my book for a few days to try and think or I read over what I’ve written and maybe rewrite parts of it
Tell us about a scene that you loved but had to edit out of your book
That’s a hard one since there are none that I can think of
Do you like reading the same books you write?
Nope, but who does?
Do write under a pen name?
Nope
How do you choose your book’s title(s)?
Yes but it aint always easy!
What advice would you give to someone wanting to write their first book?
Write down the idea you have if you have it, plan it out on paper and then go ahead!
Do you do research for your books? If so, what kind of research?
Nope
How do you fit writing into your everyday life?
Well I started my book series in lockdown so I had nothing to do for 18 weeks the first draft for the awakening of the light was completed in that time
How do you approach ‘world building’?
For world building I guess writing it around my characters because at first I have nothing and then it comes to me once I get into the story!
How do you handle criticism?
In regards to my book I haven’t had any yet, however I think i handle it well because if I do something wrong I can improve on that.
Describe your perfect character to me
Ooooo thats a good question because I really don’t want to give away spoilers for the perfect character in my series that isn’t in the awakening of the light
Tell me about your current work
So The Awakening of The Light is my first book ever written and the first in my series A Tale of Two forces that will probably be about 9 or 10 books
Tell me about your main character
Victoria is my main character, she is 15 years old at the start of the awakening of the light and finds out she’s the vessel for the light she’s sophia’s sister and her mother is emilia who was the queen of paradisia until it was taken
Would you want your book made into a film?
Oh now that would be interesting to see
