1. Tells us about your writing/ published book(s)
I self-published my first book Kale Stone: An Outliers Tale which is available on Amazon about four years ago. I am currently working on getting the sequel out as if it in the beta readers stage now. I also have a Free Short Story Collection that will also be available on Amazon, coming out on October 9th.
2. Do you like reading the same books you write?
Yes, I do. I enjoy reading adventure and dystopian books which partially inspired me to write Kale Stone: An Outliers Tale. I also enjoy reading contemporary romance novels which helped to inspire me to write the book Anywhere Else which I am currently trying to find an agent for.
3. What advice would you give to someone wanting to write their first book?
That no matter how hard it seems, how many times you edit it, and how scared you are for someone else to read it, your book is worth it and you can do it.
4. How do you fit writing into your everyday life?
As much as I can. I try to write at least once every day. This usually happens when my daughter is sleeping or on random notes on my phone that I can’t understand later.
5. Describe your perfect character to me
My perfect character is someone who the reader can relate to. As incredible as it is to be able to live these amazing journeys through these characters’ eyes, I know as a reader what I love most is that despite their experiences or journeys that we have something in common, which helps me to root for them and become engrossed in their story.
6. Would you want your book made into a film?
I would absolutely love to see Kale Stone turned into a movie. I think people would be interested to see a story in the environment that my book takes place and seeing the characters on each of their own journeys.
